NSRCEL, which is the Innovation and entrepreneurship hub of Indian Institute of Management - IIM Bangalore is going to conduct an event named ‘Social Startup Santhe’ of 10th May on its campus. The event of Social Startup Santhe will have workshops, peer to peer sessions, panel discussions with eminent personalities and other activities. The event is aiming to increase the cross-learning opportunities and visibility by bringing changemakers and entrepreneurs in the social sector. With this aim, the event has invited Samee Garde, who is the President of Sisco India and SAARC as the chief guest.
Opportunities on the social ventures of health, disability, livelihoods, education, clean energy and more will be given to the participants through kiosks. It will also check the efforts and skills of the candidates. They will also get chances to showcase their skills.
‘Suite of Services’, which is the given name for small stall spaces which will be given to participants for showcasing their social ventures. The stalls will also render services in social, HR, technological and legal sectors to other establishments.
NSRCEL Social Ventures Incubation Programme at the Indian Institute of Managemen - IIM Bangalore will be celebrating the first graduating batch of 8 social venture specialisations in the event with the assistance of Michael & Susan Dell Foundation.
The programmes were initially funded with18 lakh rupees and cultivated best practices of sharking and cross-learning with the mixed programme it offered. The incubation course started off on 15th September 2019 and has reached its destination after 18 months.
Professor Suresh Bhagavatula who is the faculty and at the Chair of the Entrepreneurship area at IIM - Bangalore has reflected on the course of social entrepreneurship and innovation by saying that IIM Bangalore always looks forward to helping entrepreneurship and promoting startups.
